Powered by HomePlug AV Technology, the PLA450 wireless access point is rated at a blistering speeds of up to 200 Mbps over your existing powerlines. With built-in 108Mbps SuperG wireless connection, it is an ideal solution for extending existing wireless coverage and is also backward compatible with 802.11b and 802.11g standard devices.
Equipped with WMM (WiFi Multi-Media), the PLA450 prioritizes traffic according to 4 ACs (Access Categories) - voice, video, best effort, and background. The PLA450 is ideal for delay and bandwidth sensitive applications like VoIP and multimedia streaming. The priorities can be adjusted with bundled software.
With support for WEP, WPA, WPA2 encryption, the PLA450 provides the best wireless security available today. In addition, all the network traffic over the powerlines is eccrypted with 128-bit AES encryption |
