On one hand there is DVD-R/RW/RAM, which is strongly supported by a group of major firms in the A/V industry; such as Pioneer, Panasonic, Toshiba, etc. It is primarily used for video editing. In contrast, there are the DVD+R/RW, which are largely used in the Computer industry; such as Dell, Phillips, HP, Microsoft, etc. These discs are primarily used for computer software applications. * Your master must be non-copy protected. Format can be DVD5 (4.7GB capacity) or DVD9 (8.5GB capacity) - can only make duplications from DVD5 to DVD5 or DVD9 to DVD9 - cannot duplicate DVD5 media on to DVD9 media or vice versa.
** Duplicating speed depends on the writing speed of the blank media used. The duplicator cannot exceed the media's maximum certified duplication speed.
